Who we are

Slow Riser Bakery is a home bakery in Manchester run by Selena Carter as a sole trader. We are responsible for the personal information you give us when you order. Contact: info@slowriser.co.uk.

What we collect

Your name, email address and phone number
Your delivery address, if you choose delivery
What you ordered, when, and any notes you add (such as allergy information)
Payment details, which are handled by Square. We never see your full card number.

When you pay, Square may automatically create a customer profile for us that records your name, contact details and past orders, so we can recognise repeat customers.

Why we use it

To take, make, deliver and get paid for your order (legal basis: contract)
To contact you about your order, including any allergy questions (contract)
To keep business and tax records (legal obligation)
To see who our regular customers are and improve what we offer (legitimate interests)

We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We use Square to run our online shop and take payments, and Cloudflare to host this website. They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for 6 years for tax purposes. Customer profiles we no longer need are deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@slowriser.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Our Square ordering site uses cookies needed to run the basket and checkout. You can manage these through its Cookie Settings.
